CBD FAQs

What is CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol, a compound naturally found in Hemp and Cannabis plants. Unlike THC, it is non-intoxicating, and it does not produce a high. Numerous studies indicate that CBD may support homeostasis, or balance in your body’s natural rhythms. We always recommend that your speak with your doctor before using CBD products.

Is there THC in New England Hemp Farm’s CBD Products?

Our CBD is derived from Hemp which by legal definition contains less than .3% THC.

Will CBD get me high?

No. THC is the psychoactive component in marijuana which makes you feel high and there are only very tiny trace amounts of THC in our Full Spectrum CBD products.

Will CBD show up on a drug test?

Our high quality, low THC, CBD products have only trace amounts of THC which should not show up in any standard drug test but we recommend that you only use Isolate CBD products if you are expecting a drug test.

What is Full Spectrum Spectrum CBD and the Entourage Effect?

Full Spectrum CBD oil contains terpenes which are essential oils found in all plants. There are around 200 terpenes in Cannabis they are what give Cannabis it’s distinct aroma and flavor. Terpenes have beneficial effects and work synergistically with Cannabinoids like CBD and THC - this relationship is called the Entourage Effect. Many users believe that they get the greatest beneficial effect from Full Spectrum CBD.

What is Isolate CBD?

Isolate is CBD which has been processed to remove over 99.9% of THC and it is often preferred by athletes who do not want any risk of testing positive for THC.

Is CBD legal?

Yes. CBD derived from Hemp with less than .3% THC is now fully legal at the Federal level under the 2018 Farm Bill and is legal in most states.

How does CBD affect Humans?

CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system which is collection of cannabinoid receptors, endocannabinoids and enzymes in the human body. Endocannabinoids are naturally occurring cannabinoids found within our bodies.

Can I give my cat or dog CBD?

Yes, pets can benefit from CBD in many ways that humans can as they each have a similar endocannabinoid system. Generally, pets will need a smaller dosage than humans based on their weight. CBD is safe for Pets to use but we always recommend that you speak with a veterinarian before you start giving your pet CBD.

Can I overdose on CBD?

Cannabinoids have no known toxicity - but we suggest starting a CBD regime in small amounts and increasing the dosage, as needed, to reach desired effect.

How Should I take CBD:

Tinctures: The most effective way of taking CBD is in a liquid form. Take your personalized dosage in the dropper and place under tongue for 1 min. The liquid is absorbed by the blood vessels under your tongue providing quick effective results. Edibles: Our Liquid Capsules are the next fastest acting product that we offer as the capsules are filled with CBD oil which will enter your system once the capsule has been digested. Orally consuming CBD Gummies have shown a longer lasting result as they naturally travel slower through the digestive system. Our Edibles allow you to easily take your daily dosage at any time of the day. Topical Creams and Relief Rubs: This CBD application method is an effective choice that may help with aches and pains, joint stiffness, as well as skin conditions. Apply a personal amount to the focused area and allow it to absorb into your skin. Pets: Edibles and drops for your furry friend. CBD can also be used by your Pets!
